Privacy matters at BeforeLease.

BeforeLease is currently an early beta prototype. This page explains how we intend to handle information submitted through the platform.

Information we collect

BeforeLease may collect waitlist emails, apartment review submissions, structured rating scores, city/state information, and optional photo-upload indicators. During beta, this data is used to test and improve the platform.

How we use information

Submitted information may be used to manage the waitlist, improve apartment transparency features, review submitted content, and develop moderation and trust-safety workflows.

Review submissions

Reviews submitted during beta are saved for moderation and product testing. Reviews are not intended to publish automatically. Public display of user-submitted reviews should only occur after review, moderation, and appropriate platform controls are in place.

Documents and photos

The current prototype may include photo-upload interface elements, but photo storage may not be fully enabled yet. Users should not upload private documents, IDs, mail, faces, license plates, lease pages, or information that identifies another person.

Data sharing

BeforeLease does not sell user-submitted information. As the product develops, any third-party tools used for hosting, database, analytics, or moderation should be reviewed for privacy and security.

Beta notice

BeforeLease is under active development. This policy is a placeholder and should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before broad public launch.
